Standing in Walgreen’s waiting to get my purchases rung up. The line starts under a huge sign hanging down from the ceiling “Line Starts Here”, but people always seem to miss the bloody signage! They try to jump in front and the amount of grumbling because the line is long.

Sure, only having two of six check-outs open doesn’t help, but some people have no patience. One guy tries to jump in front of the person in front of me and they point out the end of the line. He tries stepping in front of me, and I also send him to the back, he moans that he is in a rush and only has two items. I have two items and am also in a rush I told him, but I have the patience to wait.

Patience is a virtue dude.

The TV seems inundated with commercial for erectile dysfunction medication. I noticed one that had a small print on screen about seeing their ad in Golf Digest magazine.

I remarked to the wife that does that mean golfers suffer a lot from ED, they can’t get it up so go out and play golf instead. Or maybe their partners complain they spend so much time playing golf that when it does come time to get some they have problems.

Of course, the wife points out, probably quite rightly too, that a lot of doctors play golf and they are the ones that prescribe the ED medication.

A story I have seen on various news sites, a couple in England had their wedding annulled recently. Shortly after getting married they discovered they were actually brother and sister. Apparently they were twins separated at birth and had no idea they were related, kinda sucks.

In another BBC News story is an octopus who has a Mr. Potato Heads toy as enrichment. Louis the octopus gets excited at the sight of Mr. Potato head and plays with the toy for up to an hour at the time. It was decided the toy would be ideal enrichment for the octopus.

Talking with friend at work, he has a new girlfriend, she is going through a divorce. He was talking that they are not having sex until the divorce is finalized, although the waiting is getting to them both.

He took her to meet his folks and his Mom starts talking to them and mentions not having sex until the divorce is done, which is what they had already decided.

“Dang, did she bring out a box of condoms too?” I asked.

“No, she is using an IED,” he replies.

“Really an IED, so if you get too close there’s a huge explosion, thats certainly birth control!”

“No, no I meant…”

“An IUD,” I prompted.

We laughed.

In town this morning I noticed the plethora of Condo Hotels, they are springing up in every available space it seems. Hotels with residences in them are getting slotted in at any location that gives a god view of the waterfront. Construction at every turn, one right on the waterfront is butted right next to the Lusty Lady peep show and opposite the Seattle Art Museum. Prime locale!

The hotel people offered the peep show quite a bit of money to move, but they decided to stay.

I bet they are waiting for the hotel to open and start selling residences and then see if they can get a better offer.

BBC News Friday: A woman driver was banned from driving in the UK for driving too slow. Apparently she was caught doing 10mph and slower on the motorway, where the speed limit is 70mph.

She has been treated for fear of driver for over three years. Maybe it is time she gave it up and stopped being a hazard to other drivers.

Open Letter:

To the guy on the bus this morning, dude, if you must turn my way and breath heavily and continually sigh because the bus is stuck in traffic, for the love of Pete suck on a breath mint.

Someone either needs to work on their oral hygiene or see a dentist because the stench was vile.

The daughter came over to check her email, we got her a PC for Christmas but she hasn’t gotten the Internet yet. Aurianna, our grand daughter wanted to play with “grandpa’s computer”, so she opened Word and started typing and practicing her spelling.

She has fun and gets some practice in. She finds it amusing that there are three screens with different things on them. I have Assault On Precinct 13 paused on one screen.
