BBC News Friday: Read an article on the BBC News site for an expensive coffee. I don’t drink much coffee other than the occasional white chocolate mocha now and again.
This expensive coffee is made from beans that have been eaten by an Asian Civet, then the beans are washed to remove the dung and used to brew the coffee.
The idea just, well, yuk.
So would you try this coffee?

Dont know, I probably wouldnt. There are some things that should not be said to consumers and i would get good money that washing the dung off beans is one
Reel Ninja’s last blog post..Adventures of Tintin - Steven Speilberg and Peter Jackson to come together!
Some people will try it just to say they can afford it, even if it tastes like kak.
Somehow, I just don’t think so…
Civets have very strong scent glands, and I like my coffee to be strong, but not in that way!
Besides - ew!
The idea is just so wrong, but people drink and eat worse stuff I guess.
This was on The Early Show on CBS this morning (Wednesday 4/16) — this coffee costs a hundred dollars a cup!!!! But, the people who tasted it on air said it was worth it.
I still say there’s gotta be a better way to make a great cup o’joe rather than having to shift civet shit.
$100 a cup, sorry I don’t think any coffee is worth that.
I drink green tea regularly but I drink coffee too but once in a while and I think its stupid to splurge so much money on some thing like coffee.
I tend to drink regular black tea with milk and sugar, if I have no milk then I will drink green tea.
I read about this a couple years ago– Dave Barry did a story about it in one of his books.
I don’t even like to drink normal coffee… this would be SO much worse.
I’m a tea person.
Janna’s last blog post..I’ll be over here in the corner, with the Velcro and the pineapple
People will eat and drink all sorts of strange stuff it seems.
