Once again I find myself at a cluttered desk unable to work efficiently with crap piled up all around me, so yet again, I tidied up. I really need to hire a maid to do this for me ha!
I am back to one computer on the desk instead of two and screens everywhere, thought I’d take a few piccies to show where the supposed magic happens, I forgot to empty the trash can and cannot be arsed to retake the pictures. Houdini appears in this picture twice.
My Toshiba laptop with 19 inch widescreen monitor and wireless keyboard and mouse are the focal point then all the other blogging tools of the trade scattered around.
Screen in this shot is crappily ’shopped in because of the glare of the flash on original shot.
You are probably aware I like Moleskine notebooks1 and have several on the desk, most get used for various reasons, two in front of monitor are my everyday notebooks. One I record any changes, updates, plugins and anything else done to the blog, that way if anything goes amiss again I can hopefully figure out what the problem might be. The other is the one I carry everywhere and record ideas for the blog, my To Do lists and projects. I think they call that GTD (Getting Things Done).
My LG phone that I take a lot of pictures with that end up on the blog unless I am using my regular camera which isn’t featured in these pictures, my Canon PowerShot S5 IS Camera, 2 my blogging business cards, Pilot gel pens (I prefer the 0.38mm nibbed kind when I can find that size), a mug of tea and a bottle of Coke my regular drinks of choice.
Books on style, quotes, thesaurus, a book of poems by Rupert Brooke (92 years old), book of stories from fellow blogger Michael Martin and Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes ( 95 years old).
Various DVD and CD-R media, flash drives and memory cards are a stashed about and a few other bits and bobs. The book I am currently reading is A Train to Potevka3 by Mike Ramsdell.
So there you have it, where the inane, crazy gibberish is created, nice and tidy for the time being, see how long that lasts!
