It had to happen, I started another blog, let the eye rolling commence.

Getting my interest in mentalism (mind reading , predictions etc.) back and decided to have a blog devoted to that and my progress at fulfilling an ambition to one day performing on stage somewhere.

Excuse the WordPress theme, just a template I have up until I can find a suitable theme to mess with or get someone to make one for me.

Well, happy new year to everyone, here’s hoping 2008 brings all you dream for.

We didn’t party or anything, Carolyn fell asleep on the couch while I lay on the couch next to her and watched TV until two in the morning, we must be getting old methinks.

This year I plan on getting back into an old interest I have had since a young kid, conjuring, mentalism and associated magic stuff. Have a pile of books on and by Houdini I am working my way through.

We got cable TV again after quite a while just using “rabbit ear” antennas. I think we finally got sick of watching the same seven channels over and over, so now we have hundreds of channels to surf through.

I have been enjoying the true crime shows, History and Discovery channels and of course the Brit shows on BBC America. Must be missing the sound of several English accents of late, we’ve been watching a comedy series called Coupling. Making us laugh and while watching it the voices in my head have effected a slew of English accents.

For some reason I keep getting them with Welsh accents, weird!

A conversation formed in my head with this welsh couple, so I wrote it up and posted at my other blog, no wonder the wife shakes her head and rolls her eyes so much, she married a loon!

Friday Carolyn came downtown and we booked into the Sheraton hotel. Every year we take time out and stay in a local hotel and just do the tourist thing and get away from family and friends for a while. This time we spent the whole weekend out having fun, shopping and eating good. Steaks, booze, movies and musicals.

When I told someone at work our plans they asked me how long we had been married and seemed surprised that after nearly ten years of marriage we still do the romantic honeymoon type stuff.

I surprised my wife with great tickets for Jersey Boys, the musical about Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. It was awesome and we thoroughly enjoyed it, we went to The Elephant & Castle after had some British food and beer. I think the musical is on its way to Vegas and we would love to catch it there too.

We have plans on going to Vegas in February for our tenth wedding anniversary and to renew our vows. We will take in some shows and I am looking forward to seeing some magicians. We just have to book the Las Vegas hotel we want and we’re set.

January we have plans to go to Kansas to stay at a lodge at a water park. Our youngest daughter is going with us and we are meeting up with our eldest daughter and her four kids and all staying at the lodge.

We’re becoming right jet setters of late and I must say quite techno geeks. I am sitting here writing this blog post on my PC, next to me I have Assault on Precinct 13 playing on my laptop with headphones in. Carolyn is searching for stuff to download to her new iPod I just got her.

We certainly had fun over the weekend and got most of our Christmas shopping done.

Carolyn and I were on the couch, worn out from a hectic weekend, birthday parties and lunches.

So worn out we decided to treat ourselves to some chocolate Éclairs. I eat mine and Carolyn eats most of hers then hands me piece of hers that she cannot finish.

“Hey, there’s no chocolate on this, you licked off all the chocolate.”

“No I didn’t, it came off when I took a bite.”

“Right, the chocolate is the best part, that and the cream filling.”

“Right,” she grabs it from me and jabs her tongue inside and licks all the cream filling out, “there.”

Dang, should have kept my mouth shut!

This isn’t too bad huh?
