The comment policy for this blog is I love ‘em, who doesn’t? Always nice to get feedback, suggestions and even negative comments. Some posts are likely to cause disagreements and I like to hear readers views on the tosh I post.
I rarely delete comments unless they are obviously just spam. So if you take me to task on something I will read and leave your comment posted and reply. I try to reply to all comments where possible and like to visit commenters sites to see who my readers are. But I do reserve the right to censor profanity.
I have a plugin installed that is a “DoFollow” plugin, I use Lucia’s Linky Love available at Big Bucks Blogger. This plugin is configured to strip the “No follow” tag on comments. The result of this is to encourage comments by rewarding commenters with “dofollow” links which boosts their rank in search engines. The plugin is configured to fight human’s who are paid to visit blogs and leave comments simply to boost their companies back links.
Once commenters have left a certain number of comments they have the “No follow” tag removed on their comments.
I also have a plugin installed that sends an automatic thank you email to first time commenters, you should only get this the once, as it is sent automatically, it may take a short while for me to reply to the comment and check your site out. Your email details are not used to send spam or dispersed to third parties.
Also just installed Comment Luv plugin, this one searches for a commenter’s feed and posts a link to their latest post at the end of their comment.
Dang great reasons to leave a comment methinks.
