slightlymordant.com is a personal blog of Mik (that be me), containing the inane and sometimes incoherent ramblings of my caffeine fueled mind as well as observations of family and the outside world around me. Opinions expressed are usually mine, however warped or skewed.

I take no responsibility as to the validity of any claims made in the interest of humor, my sense of humor borders on the Monty Python/The Goon Show/Woody Allen/Steve Martin/Billy Connolly realm, just not so funny!

I am a Brit, a pommy, a limey, call me what you will, and although I have adopted the way of spelling of my adoptive country of abode (USA), I tend to use English vernacular and cuss words. I will provide links to websites of British slang in an aid to allowing my readers to better understand this drivel. I have a plugin installed that will help with some translations.

We may occasionally feature pieces written by guest authors, such authors will usually be given free reign to write as they see fit, all opinions, views etc. are of the guest author and do not necessarily reflect the views and opinions of slightlymordant.com and its affiliates (i.e. the wife).

Comments Policy:

Everyone likes comments, I do and I encourage readers to leave comments and stimulate discussion.

Another comment plugin tries to parse your latest blog post and add a link to that post in your comment. The plugin: Comment Luv plugin.

Once you have left a certain number of comments the “nofollow” tag is removed from your comment. For this I use the nofollow-free plugin: nofollow-free plugin.

I rarely delete comments unless they are obviously spam or not relevant to the post being commented on. I use Askimet and WP-Spamfree plugins which enables me to not use captchas or other word verification to aid hassle free commenting. If you are leaving good comments but are just doing so to get back links (why? my page rank sucks) to your commercial or spam site, I may leave the comment but remove the link, my site my rules.
